As you use the App, we also collect information you submit, which may include video watching statistics, quiz submissions, communications within the App, and other data related to your educational progress and interaction.
  • Information Collected Automatically:
    • Website: We collect technical data such as your IP address and the date and time of your access when you submit forms. Our Website may use services like Google reCAPTCHA for security purposes, which might collect hardware and software information, such as device and application data, for analysis. This data collection is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not currently use other tracking cookies directly on the main website.
    • App: When you use our App, we automatically collect technical information necessary for its operation and security. This includes IP addresses, access times, device information, browser type, and usage data related to your interaction with the App features.
  • Sensitive Data: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health, financial (beyond order details if payment implemented), racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, etc.) unless you voluntarily provide it to us (e.g., within user-submitted content in the App).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Manage Our Services: To operate the Website and App, create and manage your account, deliver the educational content, track your progress, process your orders (including storing order details), and provide customer support.
  • To Communicate With You: To respond to your inquiries via contact forms, send service-related announcements, provide updates, and potentially reach out regarding incomplete orders.
  • For Marketing Purposes: With your consent where required, or based on our legitimate interest (e.g., for existing customers), we may use your email address to send you information about our courses, features, or promotions via our email campaign system within the App. You can opt-out of these communications at any time (see Section 9).
  • For Security and Compliance: To protect the security and integrity of our Website and App, prevent fraud, enforce our terms of service, and comply with legal obligations, court orders, or other legal processes.
  • To Improve Our Services: While not currently implemented, we may use aggregated and anonymized data for analytics to understand how users interact with our services and to improve them in the future.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third parties only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party service providers to help us operate our business. Currently, this primarily involves:
    • Microsoft Azure: We use Azure services for hosting our Website and App, storing data (including order information in Azure Tables and user data in Azure SQL Database), and sending communications (Azure Communication Services). Microsoft acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can learn more about Microsoft's privacy practices and compliance here and here.
  • Future Payment Processors: If we implement direct payment processing, we will share necessary transaction information with payment processors to facilitate payments. We will update this policy accordingly.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent fraud, act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users or the public, or protect against legal liability.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide the services you requested, such as creating your account, delivering course content, and processing orders.
  • Legitimate Interests: For purposes like security, fraud prevention, responding to inquiries, limited direct marketing to existing users, and improving our services (provided these interests are not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms).
  • Consent: For sending marketing communications (if you are not an existing customer or where explicit consent is otherwise required) or using non-essential cookies (if implemented in the future). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Website: As mentioned, our main website does not currently use cookies for tracking user behavior directly. However, embedded services like Google reCAPTCHA may use cookies or similar technologies. Please refer to Google's policies for details.
  • App: Our App uses cookies that are strictly necessary for its technical operation. These include cookies for session management, authentication (keeping you logged in), and ensuring the security and functionality of the App. These essential cookies do not require prior consent but are necessary for using the App.

You can typically manage cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the App.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and rely on the robust security measures provided by our hosting and infrastructure provider, Microsoft Azure. This includes technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. Access to personal data is restricted to personnel who need it for their job functions.

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authorities as required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, such as maintaining your account and providing our services, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (e.g., for tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it. You can request the deletion of your data as described in Section 9.

9. International Data Transfers

We operate globally, and our primary data processing occurs via Microsoft Azure, which has a global infrastructure. This means your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including potentially outside the EEA or your specific jurisdiction. We rely on Azure's compliance mechanisms (which may include Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms) to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data remains protected.
